Baptisms
We are honoured to perform baptisms in our church, where our baptismal font dates to 1831. Please review this sheet to understand costs.
For your reference, the following steps are common:

Please start by reviewing the Church of England's webpage on baptism, as it will help answer many common questions you may have.

You will complete an application providing us with as much advance notice as possible.

You will be required to choose one, two or three godparents – or more if you wish! (Note that godparents should be baptised.)
Weddings
Please note that we cannot perform marriages at the church (that is a civil service here in Portugal), but we do perform marriage blessings. Please refer to this document to understand costs. Here is some additional information to review:

Any couple, where at least one individual is baptised, may apply for a Marriage Blessing.

An application should be made as early as possible, preferably three months prior to the proposed date.

A security deposit will hold the arranged date.

We can assist with making arrangements for an organist.
Funerals
It should be noted that funerals in Portugal often take place within 24 to 48 hours of death, so having a funeral plan in place is an important consideration. Limited spaces for burial are available in our cemetery. Please review this document to understand costs. We will work with you to plan an appropriate service, including selecting appropriate hymns and Bible readings.
