2025 Pilgrimage

Our Pilgrimage is Now Underway

Several of our parishioners have joined Father Colin, who is leading them to Santiago.  Learn more below.

Info
Sessions

In advance of our pilgrimage, we conduted several information sessions. During these discussions we will be set the dates, the routes and answered the many questions people naturally have. Father Colin has made this pilgrimage many, many times, and serves as an excellent guide.

Dates We'll
Travel

Our team is planning to travel from Tuesday, September 23rd through October 6th. Weather and individual fitness may alter this schedule.  See the planned itinerary here.

Information
on Costs

Costs are nominal, and largely centred around accommodations.  Some people prefer the spartan amenities of hostels / 'albergues'.  Others prefer to have their own rooms and bath facilities at the end of a day.  The choice is yours, and we do not judge!

Going on Caminho

Going On Caminho

Going on caminho is not something to do without significant planning;  the total trip will likely take between 9 to 14 days...  or more, depending upon your route.

Caminho
Planning

There are many excellent resources for planning your travel.  One of the most respected sources of information in the English language is A Pilgrim's Guide to the Camino Portugués, by  John Brierley.

Packing for
Caminho

Things that you think are essential at the start of the trip are often discarded during the trip; lightness is a true virtue.

Getting in
Shape

Perhaps the most critical element  of preparing for Caminho is to ensure you are in adequate physical shape to take on the challenges of the journey.  Are you in shape?
