Our Governance
Our structure and our leaders
The Chaplaincy is part of the Diocese in Europe reporting to the Bishop of Gibraltar, and is part of the Church of England. The Chaplaincy follows the rites, canons and teachings of the Church of England, the Statutes of St James and the laws of Portugal. The Church Council is the leadership body of the Council, chaired by the Chaplain with elected members from the Electoral Roll.

Electoral Roll Membership
If you attend St James regularly, then please consider joining the Electoral Roll. Being on the roll formalises your membership of the church. It allows you to vote at the Annual General Meeting and in elections of officers. You can download the form here. Please complete, sign, scan and email to electoralrollofficer@stjamesporto.org. Alternatively forms are available in church and may be given to a Churchwarden or the Electoral Roll Officer.
